Recover CareDrive Files/Image (Generic)
These are the "generic" instructions for restoring files and image-based backups from CareDrive (MSPBackups), intended as a very high level overview of the process. Any specific documentation we've written will be in the Links section below - any UPCC documentation there will have a more detailed, step-by-step walkthrough of a specific restore process.

NAS Recovery
Intel-based processor
An Intel-based Synology NAS is capable of running the "Cloudberry" or "MSP Backups" package from the Synology package center, which comes with a web interface accessible through the Synology web interface.
If it is not installed, that means the ARM-based installation method was used instead. See below.
ARM-based processor
This operates entirely from the command line and through the mspbackups.com web interface.
To start a restore:
- Login to mspbackups.com
- Go to the Monitoring/History tab
- Find the NAS in the list
- Click on the NAS name in the "computer name" column
- Click the "+" button on the Plans tab
Create a new recovery plan
- Restore to a new folder called "Recovered YYYY/MM/DD" Where YYYY is the year, MM is the month with 0 prefix, and DD is the day of the month with 0 prefix i.e. 2023/01/15
- Run the recovery plan
- Files will be restored to the new folder
- Review files then copy into proper place when customer confirms it looks good
