How to use UBCD
Ultimate Boot CD is a hardware diagnostic utility for Windows devices.
UBCD is primarily used to test the memory and disk drive on a Windows computer.
- Insert the UBCD disc into the computer, or load UBCD from a Multiboot USB
- Test the memory on the device
- Select the “Memory” menu option
- Select “MemTest 86+”
- The memory test will begin automatically. If the memory is failing, you will see large red warning signs indicating this. Otherwise, the test will continue indefinitely until you stop it. Let the memory test run until it has passed at least twice
- When completed, reboot the computer back into UBCD
- Test the storage on the device
- Select the “HDD” memory option
- Select “Vivard” (you may have to scroll down)
- Select the drive to be tested
- Choose “Surface Test” to begin diagnostics
- Red blocks indicate a failing drive. A single failed block is enough to consider the drive failed
- Repeat until all internal drives have been tested
- When all tests have been completed, eject the UBCD disc or USB and continue with any remaining diagnostics
