Pricing iMacs

iMacs pose unique situations that require special pricing. In this article we will cover the mind set that comes with pricing iMacs.

The Basics

The minimum check in cost for an iMac is $120. Diagnostics are still $60 like normal, but opening an iMac up cost an additional $60.

For hard drive replacements we normally do not charge labor. So for an iMac is it just an extra $60. The customer pays Part + $60 Labor + Software Work.

The Mindset

By default, computers have a minimum check in cost of $60. iMacs are more difficult then normal, and have consumable parts when opening, that we charge and extra $60 to open up an iMac.

When checking in, or pricing and iMac, add an extra $60 to the normal cost of repairs. So for example, normal repairs cost the Part + Markup + Hours of Labor. When doing that calculation, just add an extra $60.
