Cleaning Rotation
Part of working in a professional environment is having a clean space not only for our customers but for you and your fellow employees as well. In this article we will cover what our expectations are on a daily basis for you and your work area, along with the four monthly cleaning assignments you will be expected to complete.
Daily work area expectations
Having a clean work area not only helps create a professional work environment, it is also an important factor in the repair process. Having an open work area with all of your tools accounted for and in place will make a huge difference in your repair efficiency.
Your responsibilities_:_
- Clear open space on your ESD mat
- Tools organized and in easy access position
- Any power/display cables are taken back to their spot in shop after use
- Non-personal tools are returned back to their spot in the shop
- No food or drinks on your workstation
- Open computers are not sitting on your desk for extended periods of time
Cleaning Assignments
Your supervisor will assign you one of these four cleaning tasks that will be your main responsibility for the month.
Bathroom Duty
- Mop the floors
- Clean toilet
- Pick up any trash
- Make sure toilet paper and paper towels are stocked
- Cleaning the sink
Front Duty
- Front is swept
- Chairs are placed in respective positions in the morning
- Fish are fed
- Counters are wiped and dust free
- Pamphlets are organized
- Check in counter is clean and organized
Back Duty
- Sweep the floors in the back
- Maintain an open floor space
- Keep boxes and computers off floor
- Mop if necessary
Trash Duty
- Make sure all trash in the shop is taken out
- Break down old boxes in the back
- Replace trash bags
